Job Title: Live-Out Handy Person / Multi-Trade Renovator

Location: Wicken, Milton Keynes

Employment: Full Time (initially 2-3 years, with the potential to move to part time long-term)

We are looking for a hands-on, multi-skilled person to help us transform and maintain our home, gardens, and future retreat project. This is a long-term role for someone who takes pride in practical work, can turn their hand to many trades, and is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves as they are coordinating outside contractors when needed.

About the Role

You will be responsible for looking after a large period home, 1.5 acres of gardens including an orchard, and multiple outbuildings. Our property requires full renovation and ongoing upkeep, along with major new projects over the next few years.

Typical tasks will include:

General decorating, plastering, and carpentry Kitchen and bathroom refits Basic plumbing, electrics, and lighting Landscaping, fencing, and groundwork Orchard and garden maintenance (lawns, borders, trees) Managing and liaising with specialist trades where required Renovation of outbuildings and preparation of retreat spaces Rubbish clearance, disposal, and site tidying
What we provide

Practical, experienced across several trades, and confident learning new skills Reliable, organised, and able to manage projects from start to finish Comfortable working independently and knowing when to call in outside help Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all seasons A proactive problem solver with a positive, can-do attitude
