Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills, including electrical, mechanical, and welding expertise, with the ability to supervise and lead maintenance activities. Duties

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively Perform welding tasks as required to repair or fabricate components Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust industrial processes Lead maintenance projects, supervising junior team members and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs Assist in diagnosing mechanical faults and implementing corrective actions Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process enhancements

Qualifications

Proven experience in maintenance roles with a strong background in electrical systems, mechanical repair, welding, and PLC operation Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience within a maintenance or facilities environment Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal Mechanical knowledge coupled with practical problem-solving abilities Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards internal clients and colleagues Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical work, welding, or mechanical trades are highly desirable
