Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks across our facilities. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical knowledge, leadership qualities, and excellent customer service skills to ensure the smooth operation of our premises. The Handy Man will work independently and may supervise junior staff or contractors as needed, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to high standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, painting,carpentry, and mechanical equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to execute tasks accurately. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting and system adjustments. Perform welding tasks using various techniques and materials to repair or fabricate components. Maintain and service machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance. Supervise maintenance projects, coordinate with contractors or other team members, and oversee work quality. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies. Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal or external client requests promptly and professionally. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for reporting purposes. Assist in training junior staff or apprentices in technical procedures and safety protocols.

Experience

Proven experience in general maintenance, electrical work, welding, or related fields. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively. Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable. Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is advantageous. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional attitude. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: 13.55-16.00 per hour
