Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile self-employed General Handyman to provide ongoing support across a number of live projects. The ideal candidate will have strong all-round trade skills, be capable of working independently, and take pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship.

A company van and fuel will be provided for work use, and the role will involve travel between sites as required. Engagement will be on a self-employed basis under CIS.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out a variety of site-based tasks, including basic carpentry, decorating, and general building works. Collect and deliver materials, tools, and equipment to various sites. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition. Keep accurate records of completed works and materials used. Liaise with site teams to ensure efficient progress of works. Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures at all times.

Experience & Skills Required

Proven experience in the construction or property maintenance sector. Competence across a range of trades (e.g. carpentry, painting & decorating, general building). Ability to manage workload effectively and work with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills and professional approach on site. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work. Full, clean UK driving licence (essential). Must hold a valid UTR number and be registered under the CIS scheme.
