Job Description
Role Purpose
To carry out general repairs, maintenance, and safety checks to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Main Duties
Carry out routine maintenance and small repairs (plumbing, joinery, painting, basic electrics). Respond to maintenance requests promptly. Perform regular safety checks, including fire exits, alarms, and lighting. Maintain gardens and outdoor areas. Keep maintenance records up to date. Assist with moving furniture/equipment when needed.
Skills & Experience
Previous maintenance/handyman experience. Basic trade skills and ability to work independently. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Awareness of health and safety.
Additional
Respectful and professional in a care environment. Enhanced PVG required.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Work Location: In person
