Hatchery Supervisor Chicks
Job Description
Job Summary
To support the Hatchery Manager, Early Shift Manager and other Supervisors in the day-to-day operations of the hatchery and daily production needs. This includes ensuring the welfare of day-old chicks whilst maintaining the high standards of quality, hygiene and health and safety that are required.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake various tasks within the hatchery including chick take off order, chick quality checks and producing day old dockets.
Ensuring our high standards of biosecurity are adhered to at all times with good housekeeping throughout the hatchery.
Adhere to all codes of practice and bird welfare
Adhere to health and safety standards at all times
Follow all company policies and procedures
Be responsible for own training
g and development to keep up to date with industry standards
Undertake any other duties within the hatchery operation as and when required
Staff management
Skills and Experience
Flexible and hard working
Enthusiastic and a positive attitude to teamwork
Ability to work shifts (start times can range between 3am to 5am)
Computer Literate
Previous experience working within a production environment would be advantageous
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: From 12.71 per hour
