We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Podiatrist to join our friendly healthcare team initially for 3 days per week. The successful candidate will specialise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions, providing expert care to improve patients' mobility and quality of life. Duties
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' foot health, including medical histories and physical examinations.
Diagnose various foot and lower limb conditions such as bunions, heel pain, ingrown toenails, and diabetic foot ulcers.
Develop personalised treatment plans, including prescribing orthotics, footwear advice, medication, or recommending surgical interventions when necessary.
Perform minor surgical procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines.
Educate patients on foot care, injury prevention, and management strategies to promote long-term health.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Stay updated with advancements in podiatric medicine through continuous professional development.
Skills
Excellent communication skills to effectively explain diagnoses and treatment options to patients of all ages.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for clear documentation and patient interaction.
Strong IT skills for managing electronic health records and clinical software efficiently.
Ability to teach patients about foot health practices in an engaging and understandable manner.
Organisational skills to manage appointments efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of patient care.
