We opened the doors to our in house bakery in 2021 supplying our farm shop and deli with fresh baked breads and pastries daily. All products are made from scratch and we have gained recognition at the British Bread Awards on two occasions.
We are exceptionally proud of the quality of our endeavours and have built up a core of dedicated followers.
The bakery is on site at Growing @field28 where we have our farm shop , deli , cafe and our growing fields producing British flowers and vegetables free from pesticides and biocides. The bakery is an integral part of business in Daresbury but we also supply our restaurant chefs table in Chester where in the New Year we will be opening a new coffee shop adjacent to the existing restaurant. we have a small number of wholesale contracts and one large wholesale contract which means we keep very busy!
I am desperate to find an experienced and hard working Head Baker with the passion and drive to push the business forward both in quality and range of produce we bake and also our volume of wholesale supplies.
Experience as a head baker and exceptional skills as a baker
Experience in lamination
Have a passion for sourdough bakery.
Great communication skills to ensure the kitchen, deli and bakery staff are fully integrated as one team.
Be able to manage bakery budgets and ordering
Ability to maintain impeccable standards within the bakery to ensure compliance with EHO requirements.
Physically fit to cope with the heavy lifting that is often required.
A mindset that is positive and cheerful
Conduct regular quality checks on all baked products to maintain high standards.
Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the menu offerings.
Responsibilities:
Manage a small bakery team
Manage budgets and orders
Manage production to timeframes dictated by the customers
Manage orders from our wholesale customers and ensure consistency of products supplied.
