We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing drinks but also ensuring that our cafe maintains a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using basic maths skills. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Manage time effectively to fulfil customer orders promptly while maintaining quality standards. Participate in food preparation tasks as required, ensuring all items are fresh and presented well.

Experience

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is advantageous but not essential; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. A strong understanding of food safety practices is preferred. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting. Basic maths skills for processing payments and managing cash registers. A friendly demeanour with a genuine desire to help customers enjoy their experience at our cafe.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
