Barista

We are looking for someone who is passionate about coffee and dedicated to creating and managing a special coffee house experience for the cafe corner based in our London Nanushka shop. The ideal candidate must be an experienced leader, charismatic, passionate about people, provide exceptional customer service, and be experienced in making different coffee specialities (ie: Espresso, pour-over, and cold brew).



RESPONSIBILITIES





Management of daily orders required for the operation of the cafe


Contact suppliers

Creating a complete inventory on a daily/weekly/monthly basis

Cafe cash register management (manager tasks: opening, closing, settlement, accounts)

Training, and teaching baristas

Maintenance of the coffee machine and other equipment

Store and Cafe's events management

Menu care, import of new products, planning and managing the seasonal offer

Hygienic, cultured appearance, the mandatory wearing of work clothes

Preparing the course for opening, setting up a coffee machine and tools

Mandatory use of beverage recipes

Ensure cafe standards and cleanliness are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures

Cultured greeting of guests

Communication with guests, information about products

The customer's information on allergens

Compliance with all official bodies

Documentation of products sold and used, records management, administration

Keeping the guest room and shop portal tidy

Immaculate cleanliness of machinery

Adherence to opening and closing protocol

Aid in maintaining operations and exceeding sales goals set for the cafe

Possess proficiency in using Point-of-Sale systems, and safe cash-handling procedures

Verbally receive and call back coffee orders in a friendly manner; observe guests fulfil any additional requests

Maintain reliability through accurate processing of register transactions, and providing accurate information to clients

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines

Strong focus on hospitality and providing exceptional customer service, which includes the ability to work well with others

Promotes a positive working environment through effective communication with peers, shop management, and corporate office
Other duties as assigned by Shop and Assistant Managers




THE IDEAL CANDIDATE





A minimum of 3 years of coffee shop experience must have


Proven background in leading a small team

Motivated in having initiative and creative ideas, proactive planner of the cafe, events and menu

Must have open availability, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required

Must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and highly motivated
Proven experience in latte art and alternative coffee-making experience is a plus (ie: V60, Kalita, Aeropress)
