Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a deep understanding of food preparation, and the ability to manage a team effectively. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining the highest quality of dishes served to our guests.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen. Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor kitchen operations to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and quality.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with expertise in food preparation techniques. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervision. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Creative flair for menu development with a passion for culinary innovation. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
