As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality dishes are consistently produced while maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.
Duties
Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
Plan and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and presentation standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Implement cost control measures to optimise food production without compromising quality.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a Caribbean restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
