Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen
- Create and develop new menu items and recipes
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and prep cooks
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan and execute special events or promotions
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a culinary role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Proven track record of success in a leadership position within a kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating presentations
- Proficiency in managing food costs, inventory, and ordering supplies
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team of kitchen staff
- Attention to detail to ensure that all dishes meet quality standards
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise in the kitchen
