What you can expect
Salary is between
40,000 to 48,000
per annum, depending upon experience

We are excited to be recruiting a Head Chef to join our Culinary Brigade! Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead our Culinary team where care is our favorite flavor.
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the operation of the main kitchen, ensuring that all outlets and banqueting services run smoothly and that high-quality dishes are delivered efficiently. You will also directly manage the Stewarding function and take ownership of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
You will work closely with relevant managers to ensure all outlets and banquets operate successfully, in line with hotel standards and profitability goals. You'll also ensure that all Senior Chefs are optimising team productivity and will prepare annual operating budgets as part of the Business Plan.
In addition to your operational responsibilities, you will oversee the department's day-to-day administration, with a strong focus on cost control, food safety, and standards. You'll handle colleague queries and issues, ensuring all chefs are engaged and motivated. By fostering a fun and creative environment, you'll inspire your team and support participation in competitions and community networking.
Qualifications
About you:
You'll have previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef in a hotel or large restaurant with high standards. A strong understanding of banqueting operations--ideally within a luxury international brand--is essential. You'll have a proven track record in team leadership, food cost control, and budget management, along with excellent hygiene ratings.
You'll hold relevant qualifications in Kitchen Production (e.g. NVQ in Food Preparation or equivalent), and have comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices (FSMS) and occupational health and safety standards, in line with UK regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with a Recipe Maintenance System is preferred.
