We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among staff.
Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Oversee food preparation and production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to food safety standards.
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
Maintain inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing food costs effectively.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Monitor kitchen operations to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, NVQ Level 2 in Food Safety & Hygiene (essential)
Proven experience in a similar Head Chef or Senior Kitchen role
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Welsh language skills are highly desirable, but not essential
Proven culinary skills with experience in various cooking techniques.
Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development.
Ability to supervise kitchen operations effectively while maintaining high standards of quality.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food production processes.
A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
