We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership skills to manage and inspire our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Oversee the food service processes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish being presented to our residents.
Develop and refine menu offerings, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends, involving our residents in menu planning and design.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency and working within budgets.
Collaborate with staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor kitchen performance, making adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency and quality.
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting and carrying out written bi-monthly supervisions for kitchen staff.
Strong background in food production, including cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
Excellent team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
In-depth knowledge of culinary practices and hospitality standards.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Previous experience is essential, with a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences.
