We are a small team and a true family that is looking for passionate, like-minded folks to join our team, and grow with us. We're currently looking for an exceptional Head Chef working at a senior position in a South Indian Kitchen. The role is a multi-site role working between Cheltenham and Oxford at either Bhoomi Kitchen Restaurants dependent on business needs.
Bhoomi Kitchen is a licensed Sponsor therefore we are able to issue Certificate of Sponsorship to assist you in your Tier 2 visa application.
What we're looking for in a head chef:
Proven track record of running a busy kitchen
Able to demonstrate leadership and management of a kitchen team
Proven track record of meeting KPI's
Confidence in demonstrating exceptional safe kitchen practice and the ability to train others in this practice
Passion of the product and vision to extend menu seasonally with fresh ideas
Above all else a gleaming personality and positive attitude
Here's a taste of some of the things you will be doing:
Leading the kitchen team.
Providing guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
Overseeing and organising kitchen stock and ingredients
Ensuring a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organised for quality assurance
Keeping cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
Hiring and training new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards
Managing food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimise waste, plus work with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns
Supervising all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
Working with group head chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities
Verifying that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed
Menu creation
Coordinating with restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing
