The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to excellence. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and recipes.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and encouraging professional development.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor food costs and waste management to optimise profitability.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Passion for food production with a creative approach to menu development.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
