We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at The Wheatsheaf Hotel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, with a focus on food preparation, team management, and maintaining high standards of food safety. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating innovative menus, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality. Responsibilities



Develop and design creative menus that reflect current food trends and customer preferences. Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency. Manage kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and support to foster a positive team environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction. Supervise daily kitchen operations, including scheduling shifts and managing workflow. Conduct regular performance reviews for kitchen staff to encourage professional development.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with expertise in various cooking techniques and cuisines. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervision. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff. A passion for creating exceptional dining experiences through innovative menu design and quality food preparation.

Pay: 32,000.00-38,000.00 per year
