Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food production for our residents. Your leadership skills, culinary expertise, and passion for creating exceptional dishes will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Create and develop innovative menu items that meet resident preferences and dietary restrictions
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper food handling techniques and safety procedures
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with management to develop cost-effective menus without compromising quality
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Manage kitchen expenses within budgetary guidelines
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among staff members

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing dishes
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

- Knowledge of texture modified diets is an advantage, however not essential
