We are a newly launching bar & restaurant, with 70 covers, opening in Edinburgh's West End in late August and are looking to take on a head chef who can help sculpt our menu into a low wastage, highly profitable and delicious menu.
The role would allow the head chef to bring in their own team to support (where necessary) and they would work directly with the owner to create a great menu.
We are looking at options in British & Mediterranean cuisine and are looking to operate for both lunch & dinner long term.
Job Summary

As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production, menu development, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Duties
Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth operations during service.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current food trends while meeting customer preferences.
Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen at all times.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
Implement cost control measures to optimise food production without compromising quality.
