We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with a flair for creating delicious dishes that delight our guests. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining high levels of hospitality and service.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage the kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency in all dishes served.
Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service skills.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to maximise profitability.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into the menu offerings.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Must have previous experience as a chef cooking asian, indian or south asian food.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both food production and kitchen management.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and other departments.
