As Head Chef, you will need to be hands on and will undertake the management of the kitchen area and all kitchen staff, while producing the highest level of food, ensuring our members and guests enjoy their culinary experience. You will have strong management and development skills and the ability to develop the kitchen. Days of work will vary as we are a 7 day a week business. Hours are minimum of 24 per week, additional hours may be offered in line with the operational needs of the business.
Required skills:
Good knowledge of allergens and healthy balanced offerings.
Manage all aspects of the day to day operation of the kitchen.
Responsible for monitoring and controlling food costs, labour costs, wastage and stock take to protect and attain Company expected GP margin.
Create menus, recipes and develop dishes ensuring variety and quality.
Manage all kitchen H&S systems and procedures.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to consistently deliver on quality.
Hands on, passionate, energetic self-motivated individual.
Ensure the kitchen is run to the highest standards at all times.
Ensure kitchen staff know their responsibility for any catered event at the Club (eg: weddings, wakes, Christmas parties etc).
Minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate
