Job Brief
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee the kitchen operations. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our guests.
The ideal candidates should have extensive experience leading kitchen operations, and exceptional creativity in menu development, and advanced culinary skills.
Responsibilities
Develop and curate innovative and appealing menus, considering dietary preferences and seasonal ingredients
Lead and manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to meet the highest quality standards
Collaborate with suppliers to source fresh and high-quality ingredients
Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Create and implement new recipes and culinary techniques
Manage inventory, control costs, and optimize kitchen efficiency
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, overseeing equipment maintenance
Stay informed about culinary trends and incorporate new ideas into the menu
Requirements and Skills
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume kitchen
Culinary degree or equivalent certification
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food presentation
Leadership and management skills to effectively oversee kitchen staff
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Understanding of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting
Creative mindset and a passion for experimenting with new culinary concepts
Culinary creativity and innovation
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

Pay: Up to 45,000.00 per year
