Time to relaunch!


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to build and lead our kitchen team, and assist in relaunching Cottiers Attic as a neighbourhood restaurant after having been closed for five years. The right candidate will also be responsible for revamping the current bar and function menus, and help put Cottiers back on the map as a destination for quality food.

Duties



Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to our clientele's preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen. Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation. Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service excellence. Monitor inventory levels and manage stock control to minimise waste while ensuring quality ingredients are always available. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety within the kitchen environment.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with a comprehensive understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management. Excellent team management abilities with a focus on fostering collaboration among staff members. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and service. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
