We are seeking an experienced, creative, and passionate
Head Chef
to lead the kitchen of our newest project: a fully refurbished, modern Italian restaurant that blends tradition with innovation. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a brand-new dining destination from the ground up, bringing your vision, leadership, and culinary expertise to life.
About the Role
As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of the kitchen -- from menu development and food production to team leadership and cost management. You will have the freedom to create dishes that celebrate authentic Italian flavours while introducing fresh, modern twists. Working closely with the restaurant team, you'll ensure every guest enjoys an outstanding dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, inspire, and mentor the kitchen team in a positive, collaborative environment
Oversee food preparation and ensure consistency, quality, and presentation in every dish
Design seasonal, ingredient-driven menus that balance tradition with innovation
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance with regulations
Manage inventory, suppliers, and budgets to maximise GP without compromising quality
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver smooth, exceptional service
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a
Head Chef
(or senior role) in a high-quality restaurant environment
40-45hrs
per week over a
4 or 5
day week
Salary of up to
40,000
comprising of salary plus gratuities
Strong background in Italian cuisine, with creativity and respect for culinary tradition
Excellent leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure
Deep knowledge of food safety standards and best kitchen practices
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences
