We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of authentic South Indian cuisine.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Manage and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by promoting teamwork and open communication within the kitchen.
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential. Minimum 3 years.
Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and kitchen management.
Certified Food Safety Level 3
Experienced in rota creation, stock takes & rotation and ordering
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
Expertise in South Indian cuisine, including curries, roti making and tandoori cooking
Must be able to communicate in English , Tamil language is a plus
