Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for the daily kitchen operations
Plan, prepare, and cook high-quality South Asian dishes, particularly traditional curries, tandoori items, and regional specialties
Design and update menus in line with seasonal availability and customer preferences
Ensure all food is prepared to a consistently high standard and presented professionally
Manage kitchen inventory, control stock levels, and ensure minimal food wastage
Train, supervise, and lead kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards
Monitor kitchen cleanliness and maintain HACCP standards
Liaise with restaurant management to coordinate kitchen activities and event planning
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Curry Chef or Head Chef in a busy Indian or Nepalese restaurant setting
Expertise in preparing a wide variety of Indian and Nepalese dishes, including curries and tandoori items
Formal culinary training or relevant catering qualifications
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage a fast-paced kitchen environment
Good knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Salary Package:
27,000 - 37,000 per annum
