Stunning waterfront Boutique Hotel and Award Winning Pub in Lynmouth, North Devon

Head Chef

As Head Chef you will report to the General Manager having complete responsibility in the kitchen from sourcing suppliers, monitoring food costs, menu creation, food production and ensuring excellent customer feedback on meal offerings.

You will be managing a team of dedicated staff and will be responsible for the continued training and development of the team.

The Place

A beautiful Victorian building set on the Harbourside in Lynmouth with spectacular views out over Lynmouth Bay and beyond. The hotel has been in the same family for 3 generations and has been undergoing extensive renovation and refurbishment, including a new kitchen. We have 20 bedrooms, 60 seater restaurant and bar / outside deck area seating up to 120 covers. We do exceptionally high volumes during the summer periods in both the pub and the restaurant (2 separate menus).

The Person

The ideal Head Chef will have the following:

A minimum of 4 years Head Chef experience in a quality hotel Practical ability and flair that will be required to drive and motivate others on the team to achieve. be able to demonstrate ideas of how our food offerings can be developed and standards improved when being interviewed. Have the experience to manage the multi menu requirements and exceptionally busy seasonal operation. Have experience managing quality, staff and an effective cost controlled operation. Have a proven record of team retention, staff training and development. Have the passion to take our business further

All candidates must be able to demonstrate that they hold a relevant and valid work permit or visa to live and work in the UK.
