Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Oversee food production processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Manage team performance through effective training, mentoring, and development of kitchen staff. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations. Plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and cater to diverse dietary requirements. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Implement cost control measures while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within the hospitality industry. Strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques, with an emphasis on high-quality presentation. Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and best practices. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to continuous improvement in kitchen operations.
