Fauna Brewing is a craft beer brand based in Sussex, we are extremely excited to be launching our first pub in London (3rd venue overall) The pub is currently called the All Inn One and has not served food for over 7 years. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and restaurant operations, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to food safety standards.
At Fauna Brewing we are all about high quality craft beer and want to create a street food style menu that pairs perfectly with our range. Currently we like the idea of Tacos but we are very much up for hearing your suggestions!
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to culinary standards.
Plan and develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring dishes are served at the highest quality.
Implement and enforce food safety regulations, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Assist in budgeting and cost control measures related to food production.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety regulations.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
A passion for cooking with a creative approach to menu development.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
