Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. Our business has been established for over 13 years and we are looking for a candidate who will maintain our standard. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen management, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations and staff training while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Duties

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring effective teamwork and communication. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Maintain high standards of presentation for all dishes served Maintain a well presented fresh carvery at all times

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse group of individuals. Culinary experience with a passion for cooking and creating exceptional dishes. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the hospitality industry. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, demonstrating an understanding of fast-paced environments. Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills to liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
