We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team at Society Manchester. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food preparation, culinary techniques, and food safety standards. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive work atmosphere.
Duties
Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Develop and implement innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.
Experience
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety regulations.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is essential.
