In this unique role, you'll not only oversee a bustling commercial kitchen and front-of-house environment, but also play a key part in mentoring and training our Catering students. You'll provide hands-on guidance, helping learners develop the essential skills, knowledge, and professional behaviours they need to succeed in the Catering and Hospitality industry. What You'll Be Doing

:


As a Head Chef, you will:


Co-ordinate rotas and duties for students when working in the production kitchen and restaurant to ensure restaurant opening hours and special events are appropriately covered and maximised. Ensure that food preparation is economical, technically correct, within budget and presented to the highest possible standard to customers. Seek to develop catering opportunities external to the college to develop further reputation and grow student numbers. Contribute towards the planning of 'Industry Week' activities to ensure CH students are stretched and challenged. Network effectively to provide guest speakers throughout the academic year to inspire students on their study programme.

What We're Looking For:

We seek candidates who:


Level 3 Catering Qualification. GCSEs at Level 4/Grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent. To be a qualified Teacher or willing to work towards. - Desirable Managing food safety. A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.
