Duties

Planning and directing food preparation activities. Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to food safety regulations. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance. Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu items that reflect current trends. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Help resolve any issues that arise during service to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary arts, and food safety practices. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse kitchen team. Proficient in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments. A passion for food preparation and an eagerness to learn new culinary skills.
