Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that dishes are prepared to perfection, and managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff. Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.

Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.

Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.

Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages skill development and teamwork.

Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage food costs effectively to maximise profitability.

Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Conduct regular quality checks on food presentation and taste before serving to guests.

Experience

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary establishment.

Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management practices.

Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Passion for cooking with an emphasis on creativity and presentation in culinary offerings.
