As Head Chef, you will shape our menus, lead the kitchen, and play a key role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
Duties
Oversee all food preparation and cooking activities within the kitchen.
Develop and design creative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Manage kitchen staff effectively, (one sous and weekend KPs).
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements where necessary to enhance efficiency.
Skills
Proven experience as Head Chef and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong team management abilities with a focus on leadership and motivation.
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality.
Ability to supervise multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in food production.
Creative flair for menu development with an understanding of current culinary trends
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences through quality cuisine.
We are offering a 40 hour permenant contract; 8am - 4pm Wednesday to Sunday. You will be required to lead on 1-2 evening events a month which will be paid in addition to your salary.
