Responsibilities
Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency in every dish served.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, presentation skills, and best practices in food safety.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively to maximise profitability.
Implement new recipes and techniques while maintaining traditional culinary practices where appropriate.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
Strong culinary skills with a passion for food production and creativity in menu development.
Excellent team management abilities with a focus on leadership and staff development.
In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
