Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills and a deep understanding of food production, food safety, and hospitality. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation, while also fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to optimise cost efficiency. Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service excellence. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary to enhance quality and efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a busy kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety standards. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. A passion for hospitality and delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred.
