Job Overview


We are looking for a talented head chef or senior sous-chef to join our passionate team in a busy country pub setting. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, great leadership qualities, ability to oversee kitchen operations and will have the freedom to express themselves whilst working to the ethos of the business.

The Team



We have a great young team since day one who all support each other and have that "muck in" mentality. The kitchen team wont be changing we are just looking for someone with experience to guide the team going forward as we progress.

The Business



The business is a year old now and the pub has gone from strength to strength going from an abandoned closed pub to doing over 300 covers at the weekend and 150 during the week. 90% of the Menu is Fresh to Order. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone wanting to express themselves working closely with the owner to build a great venue as we continue to grow.

Duties


- working closley with the owner and all the team in menu planning, food production and maintaining high-quality standards throughout.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Assist in creating innovative dishes and culinary presentations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet customer demands efficiently.
- Manage kitchen inventory and control costs effectively.

Experience


- Proven experience working in a busy restaurant/pub kitchen environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques and menu development.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff.
- Sound knowledge of hospitality industry practices and customer service principles.
- Proficiency in maintaining food safety standards and implementing best practices.
- Previous experience as a cook or chef with leadership responsibilities.

Pay: 28,000.00-35,000.00 per year
