Duties
Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety regulations.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team atmosphere.
Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Manage food preparation processes to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area.
Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure the availability of fresh ingredients.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Implement cost control measures while maintaining quality standards.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of food production.
Experience
2 years proven experience as a Head Chef within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Fine dining and bistro experience essential.
Leadership and management experience essential.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively, providing guidance and support as needed.
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen environment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for culinary arts with an understanding of current trends in the hospitality industry.
Previous experience in menu planning and development is highly desirable. Wage: 35,000 plus bonus scheme/profit share
Tips & staff discount
5 days/evenings per week. Closed Sundays & Mondays.
