We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food preparation, production, and safety standards. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest quality of food is produced in accordance with our restaurant's vision.
Duties
Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards within the kitchen.
Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to minimise waste while ensuring quality ingredients are always available.
Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods.
Conduct regular quality checks on dishes before they leave the kitchen to ensure consistency and presentation.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Creative flair for menu development alongside a passion for high-quality food production.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential.
