A contemporary restaurant, a speakeasy style bar underneath, focusing on using locally sourced, quality produce to create innovative, well-travelled food menu for everyone. We're all about flavour, and we take huge inspiration from techniques and styles we've experienced on our travels over the years! Our menu is curated using dishes and cuisine from all over the world, and the whole menu is styled as small plates so our customers get to sample more dishes and variety of flavours on their experience with us.

Job Overview


This role offers a great combination of day shifts, and evening shifts, meaning more sociable hours for you to enjoy your life as well as your work! Furthermore, we only open Wednesday-Sunday meaning at the very least Mondays and Tuesdays off.

We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced and skilled chefs to join our kitchen team, who are team players, want to learn and develop their skills even further, are hardworking and have great eye for detail. We will look to you to deliver our menus which offer something for everyone! Part of your role will include input with new menu development, and help to keep our menu fresh and exciting for all. Weekly specials absolutely welcomed!

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise the kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Oversee all food production processes, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared consistently. Help develop creative menus that reflect current trends while considering guest preferences. Manage food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to recipes. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen. Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and service standards. Collaborate with management to optimise kitchen operations and control costs effectively. Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques. In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. Previous experience in high-volume kitchens is preferred, demonstrating strong organisational skills. A passion for cooking with creativity in menu design and presentation.
