The Howard Arms is a glorious Cotswold pub, restaurant and bed & breakfast. Peacefully overlooking the old chestnut tree on the green, it lies in the heart of the idyllic village of Ilmington. Inside, the fire crackles and the bar bustles with locals and visitors drinking from our carefully chosen selection of ales, beers and wine. Our menu includes top-quality pub favourites alongside imaginative starters, mains and irresistible puddings. There are 8 spoiling bedrooms, full of comfort and character with a hearty breakfast included in the price. The atmosphere is warm and easy-going, and the staff are renowned for their friendliness and efficiency.

We are looking for a Head Chef for our popular and well loved Inn - we are looking for someone passionate & professional to take the business & team forward. The menus at the pub feature both modern British dishes and traditional pub meals.

Who are we looking for



We are forward thinking company and will offer the Head Chef the opportunity to put their own stamp on the menu. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef who is an optimistic and infectious leader of people with energy, drive and enthusiasm to join family owned business.

The successful candidate will have full free reign on menu planning along with managing kitchen brigade. The role will require someone with good planning skills to achieve the next step forward for our establishment. Along with producing quality fresh food you will be required to manage all aspects of the kitchen including people performance management, food hygiene, Health and Safety and profit margins. To be a successful, you will need to have exceptionally high standards and deliver an outstanding guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications



Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques Proven leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and hospitality standards Prior experience in restaurant environments, ensuring high-quality food production and service Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen while fostering a positive team atmosphere
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 44,000.00 per year
