The Quarry Inn is a friendly village pub in Keinton Mandeville, Somerset.

We have recently taken over this amazing pub following the retirement after 27 years of the previous husband and wife team who were landlord and chef respectively.

We are looking for a full time head chef to build a kitchen team and produce classic pub food with the ability to make the specials board a thing of beauty. Must be able to hit the ground running.

We have exciting plans to add letting rooms to the property and to refurbish the rest of the building. The new chef will be able to assist with the designing and layout of the new kitchen.

The Role:

You'll be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes from our menu, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly day-to-day. We're keen to put our own stamp on the food while keeping it approachable and hearty pub dining.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard Help develop the menu with creative twists on traditional pub classics Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen (in line with food hygiene standards) Manage stock levels, ordering, and waste control Work effectively with the team to ensure smooth service

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience as a Chef in a pub, restaurant, or similar environment A passion for fresh quality cooking Good organizational and communication skills Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen Team player with a positive attitude
