Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations.
Develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends while considering customer preferences.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to ensure cost-effective operations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
Ensure the kitchen is well-organised, clean, and equipped for efficient service.
Experience
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive working environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Previous experience in menu development and kitchen management is highly desirable.
