Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor kitchen operations to maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the care home industry. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Passion for cooking with creativity in developing new dishes that delight guests.
