Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high culinary standards.
Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling waste to optimise kitchen operations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and team management skills.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to enhance profitability.
Experience
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food production processes, and menu development.
Demonstrated ability to supervise a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Creative flair with an eye for detail in presentation and flavour combinations.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
