Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team atmosphere
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques and hospitality skills
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor kitchen performance, making adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency
Experience
Proven supervisory experience in a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production
Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining high morale
In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Previous restaurant experience is essential, with a focus on quality service delivery
Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare a variety of cuisines
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate others
