Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, reliable and passionate Head Chef to lead our small kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food preparation, safety, and production. As the Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring that our restaurant maintains high standards of quality and service.

Duties

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and teamwork. Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations. Develop new menu items and enhance existing offerings based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and team management skills. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food production and presentation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences.
